Two Lunatic Protestors Threw Soup On The Mona Lisa And We Really Need To Bring Back Public Executions

BBC - Environmental protesters have thrown soup at the glass-protected Mona Lisa in France, calling for the right to "healthy and sustainable food".

The 16th Century painting by Leonardo da Vinci is one of the world's most famous artworks, and is held at the Louvre in central Paris.

The Louvre said the work was behind protective glass and was not damaged.

Video shows two female protesters wearing T-shirts that read "food counterattack" throwing the liquid.

They then stand in front of the painting, saying: "What is more important? Art or the right to healthy and sustainable food?

"Your agricultural system is sick. Our farmers are dying at work," they add.

Museum security are then seen putting black screens in front of them before the room is evacuated.

A group called Riposte Alimentaire (Food Counterattack) claimed responsibility for the stunt.

I think it's high time we bring guillotines and gallows back. And what better spot for them than in these old art museums where most of the works hanging in them were done back when public executions were all the rage.

France actually perfected the whole thing. So it's only fitting they roll them back out in The Louvre.

Nothing else is working.

Yah I know there's protective glass in front of it, don't care. These losers refuse to stop with the paint, super glue, chaining themselves to shit, whatever.

And they always have the worst things possible they're protesting for.

In a statement posted to X, formerly Twitter, it said the protest was part of efforts to integrate "food into the general social security system".

It said that the current model for food "stigmatises the most precarious and does not respect our fundamental right to food".

The group called for a food card worth €150 (£128) to be given to citizens each month to be used on food.

You mean like socialism? You mean you're protesting for socialism?

Read a book geniuses.

Every other month it's something different, they've thrown cake. paint, motor oil (ironic) and everything else they can think of to try and ruin priceless works of art. They think that by ruining and destroying artifacts we read about in history books and learn and study and millions of people come from around the world every year to see in person, that that is going to somehow make people sympathetic to their cause.

Bonkers.

Strong chance these low lifes end up on my Top 5 things I'm mad at this week segment on Barstool Radio with Nate Dawg this Friday.
